Hospice of the Red River Valley Hires Muehlberg as Patient Care Manager

Beth MuehlbergHospice of the Red River Valley has hired Beth Muehlberg, LISW, as a patient care manager for its Detroit Lakes office. In this role, Muehlberg is responsible for managing daily operations of the clinical team to ensure optimum quality and effectively coordinate clinical operations in collaboration with other patient care managers, senior managers and directors.

Originally from Ada, Minn., Muehlberg obtained an undergraduate degree in social work and psychology from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a masters degree in social work from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Hospice of the Red River Valley, Muehlberg taught at the University of North Dakota in the Department of Social Work and worked as manager of social services at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, Minn.

Promotion at Hospice of the Red River Valley

 

Wendy Tabor-Buth, LSW, has been promoted to bereavement supervisor. In this role, she is responsible for leading the direction and program development of bereavement support and services. Previously, Tabor-Buth worked as a bereavement specialist and patient care social worker for Hospice of the Red River Valley since 1994. A native of Buffalo, N.D., she is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Hospice of the Red River Valley Announces March Lunch and Learn

Hospice of the Red River Valley invites health care professionals to its March Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore various topics related to end-of-life care.

The next Lunch and Learn will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from noon – 1 p.m. Colette Kuznia, licensed professional clinical counselor, will present, “Disenfranchised Grief.” Participants will learn what disenfranchised grief is and examples leading to it. Participants will also learn the types of disenfranchised grief and the effects on those who struggle with it.

Hospice of the Red River Valley is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in North Dakota. This program has been approved for 1 contact hour for social workers.

For your convenience, Lunch and Learns will be held at four Hospice of the Red River Valley locations:
Fargo – 1701 38th St. SW, Fargo, N.D.;
Lisbon – 415 Main Street, Lisbon, N.D.;
Valley City – 1240 W Main Street, Valley City, N.D; or
Detroit Lakes –  1102 West River Road, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
The Lisbon, Valley City and Detroit Lakes office locations will be connected via video conference to the Fargo office where the live presentation will take place.

Lunch and Learns are free and open to all health care professionals. They will be held on an ongoing basis every other month (January, March, May, July, September and November) on the third Tuesday of the month from noon – 1 p.m. Specific topics and descriptions will be shared closer to each date.
