A team of Hospice professionals works closely with patients and families to best meet your needs. They include our:

Nurses receive specific training in pain and symptom management, giving them the expertise to respond quickly to patient needs. They are also skilled in communicating openly and clearly with the patient and family.

Certified nursing assistants can help with such tasks as bathing, shampooing and attending to other personal care needs.

Social workers are experienced in the emotional aspects of end-of-life care, making them knowledgeable and sensitive to the family’s needs before and after the death of their loved one. They can also access local and county services and resources for additional support.

Chaplains are professional clergy well-versed in the spiritual needs of the patient and family at the end of life. In addition to helping resolve spiritual issues and assisting with rites and rituals in coordination with the patient’s own clergy, they bring a calming presence to the dying experience.

Volunteers are trained in end-of-life issues and concerns. We strive to match a patient and family’s situation to a volunteer’s interests and abilities.

Medical director is certified in Hospice and palliative care. He consults with physicians if requested, and serves as a resource to our patient care staff.

Pharmacist manages patients’ medications to ensure quality care and comfort. She provides education and mentoring to clinical staff to ensure optimal drug usage.

Bereavement specialists are experienced in all aspects of grief related to the loss of a loved one, including assisting individuals who have experienced several losses.
