Every Donation Makes A Difference
Each of our patients, whether they live on a farm or in a city, receives coordinated, skilled care to meet his or her unique needs and wishes for the last chapter of their lives; each family receives support to help this loved one live as fully as possible, plus grief support following the death. This is made possible because of the deliberate acts of generosity by our donors.

Ways To Donate

Memorial Gifts

Memorial gifts offer a way to remember a loved one or friend while also supporting hospice care in your community. Families will be notified of your gift when memorial information is provided.

David and Emily Gess

Wedding days capture a treasure of memories and a bouquet of old and new traditions. When David and Emily Gess married, they chose to launch an annual tradition of giving back in memory of their grandfathers, both of whom had been served by Hospice.

Gifts Of Light

Members of the Gifts of Light help illuminate the pathway of compassionate care and support for our patients and families. Gifts over $500 are being matched 100% through a group of local donors. Your investment in Hospice can double when made by year end.

LaVerne Moltzan

LaVerne shares the story of how her mother faced the end of life as she had always lived - with dignity and grace. Your support through programs like the Gifts of Light helps light the way for patients and families like LaVerne’s.

General Gifts

Your gifts enable hospice services through a wide rural area of Minnesota and North Dakota and also provide the financial backing for grief support and education.

Rocky Gabel

After Rocky lost his wife of 33 years, Debbie, to ovarian cancer in early 2009, he became determined to channel his grief into helping others - and to preserving Debbie’s name and legacy in their community.

Legacy Gifts

When you include Hospice of the Red River Valley in your estate plans or will, or name Hospice as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan, you become a member of the Legacy Society. Unless otherwise designated, 50% of all Legacy Gifts help build our endowment, 25% goes towards general operations and 25% goes towards capital needs.

Monica Morrison

Monica and Bob enjoyed nearly 50 years together, raised five boys and lived life to its fullest. Listen as Monica shares Bob’s end-of-life experience and the care that inspired her to become a Legacy Society member.

Tax-Free IRA Gifts

The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 may offer you new opportunities for tax-free charitable giving. The law includes incentives for those 70 ½ years of age and older who would like to make charitable gifts from potentially taxable Individual Retirement Account (IRA) funds. Consult with your IRA provider and tax professional or contact us to learn more about this opportunity.
