Your gift to Hospice of the Red River Valley enables:
- Hospice care in rural and urban North Dakota and Minnesota
- Support groups for men, women, teens and children
- Grief resources and training to school administrators, teachers, parents and children
- Chaplains and social workers to offer grief-related counseling to patients and families
Our challenge
Our 2008 annual budget is $23.6 million.
Of that, we need to raise 7% locally (or $1,700,000) from individuals, families, businesses, churches, community organizations and foundations.
Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies provide financial reimbursement for a portion of Hospice care costs. Donations cover the gap in costs so that everyone who desires can receive Hospice services near the end of their lives.

Annual Gifts—Annual gifts enable Hospice services and also the financial backing for Journeys grief support and education program.
Legacy Gifts—When you include Hospice of the Red River Valley in your estate plans or will, or name Hospice as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan, you become a member of the Legacy Society.
Special Project Gifts—Your gift in support of our annual special projects helps fund additional needs that arise.
Endowment Gifts—Our Endowment is a fund for our future in which the principal remains intact and withdrawals for capital needs and special projects are made from the interest. Unless otherwise designated, 50% of all Legacy Gifts help build our endowment.
