Who can receive hospice care?
Care is for anyone whose illness has become end-stage and, who, based on their physician's best judgment, has a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. This includes illnesses such as cancer, Alzheimer's, heart and liver diseases, AIDS, COPD, and neurological diseases such as ALS and Parkinson's.
