What do Hospice of the Red River Valley volunteers do?

We have four categories of volunteers at Hospice of the Red River Valley:

Patient care volunteers assist our patients and their families with such tasks as running errands, light house keeping or fixing a meal, or by providing companionship to the patient so their loved one may take a break. In a facility or hospital, volunteers may offer companionship visits which could include reading, visiting and other one-to-one activities.

Patient care volunteers are considered part of the clinical team. Their input and feedback is valuable and needed.

Office volunteers assist with filing, data entry, mailings, packet assembly and other tasks.

Public relations volunteers help promote Hospice of the Red River Valley by assisting with fundraising, special events and staffing exhibits at health and wellness fairs.

Heirlooms volunteers assist with day-to-day operations at our upscale resale store in Fargo.
