The Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health recently selected Gilman Beck as the recipient of the Outstanding Rural Health Volunteer Award. This award is presented to a health care volunteer who has demonstrated success in the delivery of health services. Beck has been a volunteer with Hospice of the Red River Valley for 12 years and lives in Northwood, N.D. The award was presented to Beck at an awards banquet on June 6 in Mandan, N.D.
