Hospice of the Red River Valley to host virtual Lunch and Learn on End-of-Life Issues May 11

Lunch and LearnHealth care professionals are invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming virtual Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore topics related to end-of-life care.

The next session will be held Tuesday, May 11, from noon-1 p.m. Dr. Tracie Mallberg, medical director with Hospice of the Red River Valley, and Chelsey Pollert, registered nurse and clinical education coordinator with Hospice of the Red River Valley, will present “Hospice: A Comforting Presence.” After completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the scope of hospice care,
  • Discuss evidence-based nursing interventions to manage patient’s end-of-life symptoms,
  • Describe at least three comfort measures that provide dignity at end of life,
  • Describe the House Calls program.
