Hospice of the Red River Valley to host virtual Lunch and Learn ‘Effective Communication Strategies’ July 13

Health care professionals are invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming virtual Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore topics related to end-of-life care.

The next session will be held Tuesday, July 13, from noon-1 p.m. Elizabeth Nawrot, community education volunteer with Alzheimer’s Association, will present “Effective Communication Strategies.” This collaborative session will:

  • Explain the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease,
  • Decode the verbal and behavioral message delivered by someone with dementia and respond in ways that are helpful to the person,
  • Identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.

This event is free and open to all health care professionals. Pre-registration is required by July 11 at bit.ly/hrrvlunchlearn. If you have questions, please email lunchlearn@hrrv.org.

Registered attendees will receive a link for the online meeting 24 hours prior to the presentation.
