Health care professionals are invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming virtual Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore topics related to end-of-life care.
The next session will be held Tuesday, July 13, from noon-1 p.m. Elizabeth Nawrot, community education volunteer with Alzheimer’s Association, will present “Effective Communication Strategies.” This collaborative session will:
- Explain the communication changes that take place throughout the course of the disease,
- Decode the verbal and behavioral message delivered by someone with dementia and respond in ways that are helpful to the person,
- Identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.
This event is free and open to all health care professionals. Pre-registration is required by July 11 at bit.ly/hrrvlunchlearn. If you have questions, please email lunchlearn@hrrv.org.
Registered attendees will receive a link for the online meeting 24 hours prior to the presentation.
