Hospice of the Red River Valley Certified Nursing Assistant Katrina Zierden Obtains Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistant Certification

Katrina Zierden, CNA, CHPNA, has successfully passed the Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistant (CHPNA®) examination through the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center.

Zierden works as a CNA at Hospice of the Red River Valley, and cares for patients in and around Detroit Lakes, Minn. She has been with the organization since November 2020. Zierden is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls, Minn., where she obtained her CNA education.

The CHPNA® examination was designed for experienced certified nursing assistants. Applicants must have 500 hours of hospice and palliative nursing assistant practice in the most recent 12 months or 1,000 hours in the most recent 24 months.
