The 11th annual Sweet N’ Stickey in Dickey Rib Cook-off will be held outside of the Dickey Bar on Saturday, July 11. All proceeds will be given to the Hospice of the Red River Valley in memory of loved ones who have passed away, most of whom have received Hospice care in the community. Starting at 7 p.m., ribs will be served to the public. Attendees are encouraged to give a free-will donation for a meal.

For a $40 entry fee, interested individuals can enter their tasty recipe in the rib cook-off contest.

If you’re interested cooking ribs, contact Chrissy Kartes at 701-778-7346. Cooks must provide their own cooking devices and all other cooking needs. There will be a $40 entry fee for rib entrants that includes:

• A Sweet N’ Stickey T-Shirt/tank and two racks of ribs
• Ribs will need to be cooked, cut, and ready to present to judges at or before 5:30 p.m.
• Entrants will need to provide their own grill/smoker, utensils and cooking items.
• Event organizers will provide ribs, judging baskets and serving trays.

The event organizers will provide gloves and masks for people who wish to wear them. They also encourage attendees to follow social distancing guidelines to the best of their ability.
