March 2021 Lunch & Learn: Elder Abuse Training

Health care professionals are invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore topics related to end-of-life care. Lunch and Learns are held on the second Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November from noon-1 p.m. Due to COVID-19, the events are held virtually.
The next session will be held Tuesday, March 9, from noon-1 p.m. Suzie Kramer-Brenna, prevention education supervisor with the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, will present “Elder Abuse Training.“
This collaborative session will help attendees:
- Describe the primary types of abuse in later life,
- Describe what you can do if you are aware of an elder abuse situation,
- Provide at least two examples of how to support elders who have experienced abuse.
Hospice of the Red River Valley is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in North Dakota. This program will be awarded 1 contact hour.
This Lunch and Learn will be held virtually/online. Attendees will receive a link for the online meeting upon registration 24 hours prior to the presentation.
