March 2022 Lunch and Learn: Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk

Health care professionals are invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming Lunch and Learn as we continue to explore topics related to end-of-life care. Lunch and Learns are held on the second Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November from noon-1 p.m. Due to COVID-19, the events are held virtually.
The next session will be held Tuesday, March 8, from noon-1 p.m. Tammy Monsebroten, LCSW, suicide prevention coordinator and Andrea Dockendorf, LCSW, HUD-VASH and homeless outreach social worker both with the Fargo VA Health Care System, will present “Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk.”
In this collaborative session, participants will:
- Locate validated screening tools
- Formulate a Safety Plan for Suicide Risk reduction
- Utilize GROW Method to increase Lethal Means Safety

Hospice of the Red River Valley is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in North Dakota. This program will be awarded 1 contact hour.
This Lunch and Learn will be held virtually/online. Attendees will receive a link for the online meeting upon registration 24 hours prior to the presentation.
