The following national organizations provide information on hospice care philosophy, practices, national healthcare coverage programs and more. Hospice of the Red River Valley is not affiliated with these organizations.
National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization – The largest nonprofit membership organization representing hospice and palliative care programs in the U.S. Committed to improving end of life care and expanding access to hospice care with the goal of profoundly enhancing quality of life for people dying in America and their loved ones.
Hospice Foundation of America – Provides leadership in the development and application of hospice and its philosophy of care with the goal of enhancing the U.S. health care system and the role of hospice within it.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services – Information on medical and support services from a Medicare-approved hospice for people with a terminal illness, drugs for symptom control and pain relief, and other services.
