The public is invited to Hospice of the Red River Valley’s upcoming Lunch and Learn. Lunch and Learns are held on the second Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November.

Upcoming Session

The next session will be held Tuesday, May 9, from noon – 1 p.m. Alzheimer’s Association Community Educator, Tessa Johnson, will present “Effective Communication Strategies for People Living with Dementia.” 

In this session, participants will:

• Explain the communication changes that take place throughout the course of Alzheimer’s Disease.
• Decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone living with dementia and respond in ways that are helpful to the person.
• Identify strategies to connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.

Continuing Education

Hospice of the Red River Valley is an approved provider of continuing education for social workers in North Dakota. This program will be awarded 1 contact hour.

Locations

This Lunch and Learn will be held virtually/online. Attendees will receive a link for the online meeting upon registration the day of the presentation.
