Ina Lyon Offers $5,000 Challenge Gift to Hospice of the Red River Valley

Hospice of the Red River Valley recently received a challenge offer from Ina Lyon of Fargo, N.D. Thanks to her generosity, Gifts of Light (gifts of $500 or more) to Hospice of the Red River Valley will be matched to advance the mission of hospice care in the region. If all funds are matched, the gift will generate a total of $10,000 for Hospice.

Lyon was inspired to make the challenge gift after experiencing hospice care firsthand. Her husband, Richard, passed away under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

The gift will have a significant impact on hospice care in the area, according to Hospice of the Red River Valley Development Officer Deb Gemar. “Ina has demonstrated a deep commitment to ensuring hospice care continues long into the future,” Gemar said. “I am hopeful that several others in the community will feel inspired to give donations to be matched.”

Gifts of Light made to Hospice of the Red River Valley given in 2012 will be eligible for the matching funds. To learn more about giving a gift to Hospice, visit www.hrrv.org or call 1-800-237-4629.
