Why do you choose to volunteer with Heirlooms?
I first learned about Hospice of the Red River Valley through a speaker who came to a service group to which I belonged. When I retired from teaching after 37 years, I remembered the presentation and thought Hospice would be a worthy place to volunteer. I visited Heirlooms and started volunteering 15 years ago.

How does it make you feel to know your work at Heirlooms support Hospice of the Red River Valley’s mission?
When I am working at Heirlooms, I often visit with customers whose families have been served by Hospice of the Red River Valley. They are so appreciative and thankful. They sometimes thank me for volunteering. It makes me feel gratified my hours are recognized.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am a dependable volunteer. I plan my schedule around my Thursday morning volunteer commitment.
